Founder & Managing Director
Engr. Abdul Wadud, the visionary founder of WASO Engineers & Consultants (BD) Ltd., began his professional journey as an employee. His entrepreneurial drive led him to establish his own business in the late 1990s, launching WASO Engineers & Consultants as a proprietorship. In 2004, he achieved a significant milestone by formally registering the company with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies (RJSC) as WASO Engineers & Consultants (BD) Ltd.
His success in this field extended further when he founded WASO Credit Rating Company (BD) Ltd., where he serves as the Managing Director of both enterprises. With 29 years of experience in the industrial sector, Engr. Wadud has become a recognized expert in various industries.
Though his primary focus is in the textile and apparel sectors, his expertise spans numerous others, including basic chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, food and beverage, steel and heavy engineering, agro-based plants, leather, footwear, health and hygiene, and soap and body care, among others. His comprehensive knowledge and innovative approach have made a significant impact in the private sector. More recently, Engr. Wadud has expanded his consultancy services into the public sector, contributing to various development projects and industries in Bangladesh, further cementing his reputation as a respected and distinguished leader in the field.
After completing his engineering education, Engr. Abdul Wadud began his career in the private sector, working for several reputable companies in Bangladesh. His responsibilities encompassed installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and fault detection of machinery, providing him with practical experience in applying theoretical knowledge. During his tenure as an engineer at local companies, including textile mills such as Sinha Textile Group, Monno Group, and Tomij Uddin from 1990 to 2000, Engr. Wadud honed his expertise. In addition to his engineering skills, he developed a keen interest in offering comprehensive solutions to industries, eventually transforming his passion into a state-of-the-art consultancy service that now serves a wide range of clients across Banglades
